Malin Nan Kondang is the antithesis of Kaba Malin Kundang. The idea is from Prof. Novesar Jamarun, Edi Suisno as the scriptwriter, Wen Hendri as Director, Yesriva Nursam as Choreographer, and Alfalah as Composer. The performance is presented at International Festival Theater Ryazan, Russia on 15 November 2021.

Malin Nan Kondang already performed in China Asean Theatre Weeks in Nanning, China. The performance duration is 55 minutes. The story is about the main character named Malin. He is successful in another country and he is also loyal to his girlfriend in his hometown. But his mother doesn't let him with his girlfriend because of social status. Until his mother was aware of her son's love for Nilam.
